Latest SEQATV Information

The VK4RMG ATV repeater has been moved from Wamuran to to Ocean View.  Coverage  is from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane North to Brisbane South.

VK4RTQ 438.025 MHz FM voice repeater has been repaired with a new 30 Watt power block. The antenna arrangement has also been updated with new LDF-450 coax and new antennas.  These antennas consist of a nine element Yagi facing towards Brisbane and a single side mounted dipole for the Gold Coast fed with a phasing harness.  Both antennas are now located right at the top of the tower rather than before being right at the bottom.  This new system of antennas, and slightly more power, has made a dramatic improvement to the voice repeater.

The Gateway radio system will soon be removed and replaced with a new system which will comprise of two local full duplex 70 CM frequencies and a VHF simplex frequency (145.7 MHz).  This new Gateway will also incorporate a 6 Metre simplex frequency and a HF frequency somewhere around 10.125 MHz SSB.  We also have plans to interlink this Gateway system to the Redcliffe 70 CM voice repeater at Mount Mee and also to include the Mount Tamborine repeater on 438.025 MHz.  This repeater linking arrangement would only be called up when and if required thereby allowing someone on the Gold Coast to communicate via the Gateway to Mount Mee repeater and on to someone up the coast.  This will be great to access when driving around Brisbane so stay tuned.
